
DORIS CARLENE KINDER
Doris Carlene Kinder, 79 of Quincy, Illinois, formerly of Payson died at 10:12 p.m. Friday (March 13, 2009) in Blessing Hospital.
Born August 25, 1929 in Fall Creek Township, Adams County, Doris was the daughter of John A. and Zella P. Dodd Rollins. She married Kenneth Eugene Kinder on July 3, 1948 in Bluff Hall Church. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1983.
Doris was a member of Bluff Hall Church where she was active with the Women's Fellowship group, Payson Old Settler's Association and the International Hairdresser's Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Doris was employed in the office of ASCS in Quincy for several years and then as a supervisor at Motorola for 17 years. She was also a beautician, having a shop in her home for a number of years.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Kinder and his wife Peggy of Payson; a foster son, Randall Lee Cadwaller and his wife Kelly and family of Lynchburg, VA; two grandchildren, Michael Kinder and his wife Jean of Payson, Andrew Kinder of Payson. One great-granddaughter Katherine Kinder of Payson; also surviving one brother John W. Rollins and his wife Marilyn of Quincy.
Mrs. Kinder was preceded in death by her her husband, Kenneth; and one sister Betty Kealen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy. Burial will be in the Bluff Hall Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
