Mrs. Dorothy Franks, 97, of Sulphur Springs, TX., formerly of Quincy, died August 15, 2007 in Sulphur Springs, TX.

Born December 9, 1909 in Quincy, Dorothy was the daughter of August L. and Meta Hores Wolf. She married Edgar Franks in 1945 in Quincy. He died in 1991.

Mrs. Franks was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading and watching game shows. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed seeing the northern California Redwoods and Monteray Bay.

Surviving is a daughter, Marilyn Tepner and her husband Steve of Sulphur Springs, TX.; three grandchildren, Scott Trieb of Sulphur Springs, TX., Debbi Simmons and her husband Craig of Baytown, TX., and Rich Von Holt and his wife Malinda of Norman, OK.; six great grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Donna Jean Von Holt.

Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Greenmount Cemetery by Dr. David O'Rourke.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:30 until 10:15 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
