DOROTHY H. MASON

Mrs. Dorothy H. Mason, 85, of 611 Talbot St., Liberty, died at 6:35 a.m. Monday (July 11, 2005) in her home.

Born May 29, 1920 in Eureka, California, Dorothy was the daughter of Fred and Bernice Riutzel Boling. She married Walter R. Mason on June 11, 1938 in Palmyra, Missouri. He died January 29, 1999.

Mrs. Mason was a member of Spring Valley Church. She enjoyed quilting and arts and crafts and loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Mason was employed in the housekeeping department of St. Mary Hospital for several years until her retirement.
Surviving are three sons, Fredrick Mason and his wife Nancy and David Mason and his wife Lou Ann both of Quincy and Marty Joe Mason of Liberty; four daughters, Shelba Kestner and Karen Howell and her husband Ralph both of Quincy, Marilyn Kennedy and her husband Dwayne of Liberty and Conda Denton and her husband David of Fowler; 19 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 10 step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Danny Mason; two granddaughters, Amanda Mason and Samantha Benge; and a son in law, George Kestner.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Terry Henry. Burial will be in the Spring Valley Cemetery near Siloam Springs.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
