DOROTHY M. RAMPLEY

Mrs. Dorothy M. Rampley, 81, of 713 Washington, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday (July 26, 2007) in Sunset Home.

Born February 21, 1926 in Quincy, Illinois, Dorothy was the daughter of Fred and Bessie Peacock Miller. She married Gerald "Jerry" Rampley on October 15, 1965 in Quincy. He survives.

Mrs. Rampley attended Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was a 1944 graduate of Quincy High School. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed garage sailing. She loved to travel, especially going to Las Vegas.

Dorothy and her husband did home remodeling for many years until her retirement.

Also surviving is a daughter, Linda L. Walz and her husband Mark of Lenexa, KS.; a son, A. Michael Bruenger of Quincy; a grandson, David M. Walz of Lenexa, KS.; a sister, Hazel Stewart and her husband Charles of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Pamela Sue Rampley; a brother, Carl F. Miller; and a sister, Mary E. Harrison.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Willard. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
