EDITH "DEDE" LIEBMANN

Miss Edith B. "Dede" Liebmann, 90, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 1026 South 21st, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday (August 10, 2006) in Good Samaritan Home.

Born March 6, 1916 in Quincy, Edith was the daughter of Carl L. and Edith Bergstrasser Liebmann.

Edith was a 1934 graduate of Quincy High School, which was the first class to graduate from 14th & Maine, and a graduate of Gem City Business College. She was a lifetime member of Luther Memorial Church where she was the secretary for the church Sunday School for 40 years, and a member of the Altar Guild, Christian Education Committee and the Women in Christ's Kingdom Servant (WICKS). Edith was also a 50 year member of Alpha Chapter 109 Order of Eastern Star, Miriam White Shrine of Jerusalem #3, Women's City Club, Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary, Women's Republican Club and was a volunteer at Blessing Hospital for many years and was honored for her work by being named Volunteer of the Year.

Edith was employed as a bookkeeper for Quincy Automotive for many years and later at Abbott Automotive until her retirement in 1982.

Surviving is a brother, William A. Liebmann and his wife Ruth of Denver, CO.; a niece, Sally Ann Konecne of Englewood, CO.; two great nieces, Kara Konecne of Parker, CO. and Cindy Ward and her husband Todd of Medford, OR.; two great great nieces, Emma Ward and Maddie Ward; and many loving cousins and friends.

Miss Liebmann was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Carlene E. Liebmann.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Leland Uden. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home. Alpha Chapter 109 O.E.S. will conduct services Monday evening at 7:00 in the funeral home.
