EDNA ADELE BIENHOFF

Mrs. Edna A. Bienhoff, 98, of Golden, died at 3:42 p.m. Monday (September 4, 2006) at the Timberpoint Health Care Center.

Born December 26, 1907 near Golden, IL, Edna was the daughter of John H. and Agnes Marie Oetting Flesner. She married Herbert Bienhoff on November 7, 1929 in Clayton, IL. He died December 13, 1994.

Mrs. Bienhoff was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Edna enjoyed gardening and farmed with her husband in Clayton Township south east of Golden for over 50 years until her retirement in 1979.

Surviving is her son, Roger Bienhoff and his wife Mary Jean of Hills, IA.; two grandchildren, Cheryl Weih and her husband Jon of Coralville, IA. and Michael Bienhoff and his wife Roxie of Mainville, OH.; six great grandchildren, Riley Bienhoff and Ryan Bienhoff, both of Mainville, OH., Kaithlyn Weih, Jenna Weih, Natalie Weih and Amanda Weih, all of Coralville, IA.; a sister, Irene Cookson of Quincy; a brother, Harry Flesner and his wife Lucille of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Raymond, Elmer and Edward Flesner; and five sisters, Helen Meints, Amalia Swope, Adele Aden, Emma Meyer and Emily White.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning 11:00 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Golden by Rev. Linda Murray. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran West Side Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the church.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
