
ELLIS H. FESLER
Mr. Ellis Harshman Fesler, 88, a well kown grain and livestock farmer of Plainville, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday (March 8, 2005) in the Barry Community Care Center.
Born February 28, 1917 in Barry, Mr. Fesler was the son of Harry and Anna Harshman Fesler. He married Arlene Wisman on November 26, 1938 in Palmyra, Missouri. She survives.
Mr. Fesler was a graduate of Barry High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainville, a charter member of the Plainville Lions Club, a past director of the Camp Point Mutual Insurance Company, a past trustee of the Payson Fire District and a past board member of the Payson Seymour School District.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene; a daughter, Deanna Speckhart and her husband Kent of Ewing, MO.; a son, Gary Fesler and his wife Cathy of Hull, IL.; four grandchildren, Scott Speckhart and his wife Shelley of Girard, IL., Sara Stone and her husband Craig of Quincy, and Brett Fesler and Kelsi Fesler both of Hull, IL.; two great grandsons, Geoffery Speckhart and Nathan Speckhart both of Girard, IL.; and a brother, Kendrick Fesler and his wife Betty of Barry.
Mr. Fesler was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and sister in law, Elden and Jesse Ellen Fesler; and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy by the Rev. Bob Kean. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery in Plainville.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:30 and Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home in Quincy.
