EMERY F. BREUER

Mr. Emery F. Breuer, 78, formerly of 1324 S. 19th, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday (August 25, 2007) at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, IN.

Born May 23, 1929, Quincy, Emery was the son of Frederick Herman and Mabel Ewing Breuer. He married Norma DeGroot on April 2, 1955 at Luther Memorial Church in Quincy. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2003.

Emery was a 1948 graduate of Quincy High School. He was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Quincy American Legion Post #37, V.F.W. Post #5129, and the Quincy Woodworkers Guild. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Breuer was employed at Motorola for over 21 years until its closing. After its closing Emery attended heating and air conditioning school and was employed at Deters Dairy. He later retired from Glenayre Electronics.

Surviving is a daughter, Jeannie Herr and her husband Douglas of Battle Ground, IN.; a brother, Donald Breuer and his wife Loraine of Quincy; two sisters, Florence Koetters and her husband Ralph of Quincy and Helen Tournear and her husband Roy of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Harold and Richard Breuer; and two sisters, Ruth Breuer and Dorothy Kaufmann.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Leland Uden. Burial with military honors by Quincy American Legion Post #37 will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
