
ERMA LEE STUART THOMPSON
Mrs. Erma Lee Thompson, 89, of North Adams Home, died at 12:07 a.m. Saturday (June 17, 2006) in the home.
Born June 8, 1917 in Shelby County, Missouri, Erma was the daughter of J.E. and Iris Kreig Schnaufer. She married Jack Stuart on April 24, 1937 in Quincy. He died March 27, 1988. She then married George Thompson in Alta Loma, California. He died November 24, 2002.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Hemet, California and was the social activity director there for several years. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1935 and the Quincy Beauty Academy in 1936. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.
Erma owned and operated her own beauty shop for several years. She and her husband then owned and operated Stuart's Restaurants in Quincy for 18 years.
Surviving is a son, Dick Stuart and his wife Christine of Quincy; a granddaughter, Tamara Radecki of Quincy; two great grandchildren, Jason and Michael Radecki of Quincy; and a sister in law, Lenora Tracy of the state of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.
A memorial service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the North Adams Home Chapel by Rev. Dick Stuart. Interment will take place a later date in Hemet, California.
