EVELINE V. BEHRENS

Mrs. Eveline V. Behrens, 88, of Sycamore Healthcare Centre, formerly of 205 Stadium Drive, died at 1:25 a.m. Monday (February 26, 2007) in the home.

Born June 6, 1918 in Golden, Illinois, Eveline was the daughter of George and Anna Heinecke Rosendale. She married Herman Behrens on August 28, 1937 in Palmyra, Missouri. He died January 5, 1972.

Eveline was a member of Luther Memorial Church. She loved to sew.

She was employed for many years at Lester's Food Store in Golden.

Surviving are three sons, Freddie LeRoy Behrens and his wife Sheila of Golden, Terry Behrens
and his fiance' Kathy Hankins of Quincy and Ted Allen Behrens and his wife Susan of Galesburg, IL.; two daughters, Betty McGinn and her husband Ed of Quincy and Patricia Ann Platt and her companion Eric Johnson of Arlington, TX.; five grandchildren, Michelle Ward and her husband Stacy of Barry, IL., Melanie Behrens of Pittsfield, IL., Michael McGinn of Quincy, Tara McGinn of Sarasota, FL. and William Behrens of Lincoln, IL.; three step grandchildren, Sean Stegall and his wife Michele of Elgin, IL., Tonya Beatty and her husband Marshall of Loraine, IL. and Scott Leenerts and his wife Jennifer of El Paso, TX.; five step great grandchildren, Emma Stegall, Seth Beatty, Shae Beatty, James Beatty and Alexander Leenerts; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Behrens was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Leland Uden. Burial will be in the Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden, IL.

Visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
