FLORENCE DEDERT

Mrs. Florence Dedert, 100, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of Route 3, Quincy, died at 2:52 p.m. Monday (December 22, 2008) in Good Samaritan Home.

Born August 2, 1908 in Adams County, Illinois, near Fowler, Florence was the daughter of Henry and Nora Schroeder Disselhorst. She married Paul C. Dedert on September 24, 1931 in St. Paul United Church of Christ in Fowler. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1990.

Florence was a life long member of St. Paul United Church of Christ of Fowler. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce McIntyre and her husband Robert and Glenda Todd and her husband Bill both of Quincy; four grandchildren, Melanie McIntyre of Houston, TX, Michael W. Todd of Quincy, Paula Reinhardt and her husband J.D. of Quincy and Chad J. Todd and his wife Chris of Fowler; six great grandchildren, Michael C. Todd, Alyssa Todd, John Reinhardt III, Ben Reinhardt, Cristen Todd and Caitlyn Todd; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dedert was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul; a grandson, Rob McIntyre; a sister, Mildred Mollenhauer; and a brother, Walter Disselhorst.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Chaplain Steve Disseler and Pastor Keela Neumann. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
