FLORENCE ANN PIGGOTT

Mrs. Florence Ann Piggott, 83, of Sunset Home, formerly of 1901 Washington, died at 7:00 p.m., Sunday (December 11, 2005) in Sunset Home.

Born April 10, 1922 in Quincy, Mrs. Piggott was the daughter of Grover and Emma Lux Pfirmann. She married Robert K. Piggott on November 8, 1952 in Quincy. He died February 21, 1988.

Mrs. Piggott was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for over 42 years, and a 50 year member of Alpha Chapter 109 Order of Eastern Star and the Quarter Century Club of Gardner Denver.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

A graduate of Quincy High School and Gem City Business College, Mrs. Piggott was employed for over 40 years at Gardner Denver, retiring as a purchasing agent.

Survivors include a step son, Robert William Piggott of New York, NY.; a sister Jean Mohrman and her husband Donald of Ft. Wayne, IN.; two nephews, Dr. John Mohrman and his wife Julia and Dr. Michael Mohrman and his wife Jenny both of Ft. Wayne, IN.; four grand nieces; four grand nephews; and one great grand nephew.

Mrs. Piggott was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Timothy White. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home. Alpha Chapter 109 O. E. S. will conduct services Wednesday evening at 7:00 at the funeral home.
