FLOYD LEE "BUD" BOWLES

Mr. Floyd Lee "Bud" Bowles, 68, of Plainville, died Friday (September 28, 2007) near LaGrange, Missouri.

Born April 11, 1939 in Quincy, Bud was the son of Richard M. and Eve Howard Bowles Winters. He married Betty Emmons on August 9, 1987. She died January 26, 2002.

Mr. Bowles was a member of the Plainville First Baptist Church. He loved animals, enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and helping his neighbors.

Bud was a self employed carpenter and painter in the Quincy area for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Marshall of Plainville and Lisa Snow of Clarksville, TN.; his fiance , Mary Bridgman of Plainville; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerald Bowles and his wife Virginia of Quincy and John Bowles and his wife Barbara of California; and three sisters, Nina Wright and her husband Larry of Peoria, Joyce Dodd and her husband Art of Wapello, IA, and Debra Bowles of Philadelphia, PA and several nieces and nephews. .

Mr. Bowles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; and two brothers, Lloyd Bowles and Richard Bowles Jr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by Rev. Bill Knight. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
