FRANK M. DANG JR.

Mr. Frank M. Dang Jr., 90, of the Timber Point Health Care Center in
Camp Point, formerly of Quincy, died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday (December 6,
2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born May 30, 1916 in Adams County, Illinois, Frank was the son of Frank
M. and Matilda Oberling Dang Sr. He married Leora Bradley on May 28, 1946

in Springfield, Illinois. She survives.

Mr. Dang served his country as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corps,
working as a radio mechanic during WW II.
He was a member of the Quincy American Legion Post #37, Herman Masonic Lodge
No. 39 and the Moose Lodge No. 986.

Mr. Dang attended Quincy College and was a graduate of Gem City
Business College. He worked in the personnel office at Gardner Denver and
later as an examiner for the Illinois Department of Insurance. In 1950, Mr.
Dang transferred to the Illinois Veterans Home where he worked in the
accounting department until his retirement.

Surviving is his wife, Leora; three step children, Kent Barrett and his
wife Mary of Westfield, MA., Robert Barrett Jr and his wife Sandra of West
Springfield, MA. and Roberta Dawn Norris of Westfield, MA.; eight step
grandchildren; and many loving step great grandchildren.

Mr. Dang was preceded in death by his parents; and a step grandson,
Dale Barrett.
