FRANK J. "MIKE" MILLER

Mr. Frank J. "Mike" Miller, 93, of North Adams Home, formerly 2503 Lakeside Dr., died at 5:25 a.m. Monday (July 16, 2007) in the home.

Born June 1, 1914 in Quincy, Mike was the son of Frank Ben and Elizabeth Meyer Miller. He married Marian A. Smith on April 11, 1936 in Quincy. She died February 6, 1987.

Mr. Miller was a member of Herman Masonic Lodge #39, Quincy Consistory, Quincy Shrine Club, Ansar Shrine Belgian Hitch, and Ansar Temple of Springfield. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and golfing.

He was employed at Gardner Denver as a foreman for over 40 years retiring in 1975.

Surviving is son, Frank "Ben" Miller and his wife Rayola of Quincy; two grandchildren, Debra Oitker and her husband Joe of Bowen and Donna Shanks and her husband Kevin of Fayetteville, N.C.; and a great grandson, AFC Brandon Shanks serving in the U.S. Air Force in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Dennis Miller; his brother, Rev. Ben Miller; and his sister, Irma Herold.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 in the funeral home. Herman Masonic Lodge No. 39 will conduct Masonic Services Wednesday evening at 6:30.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
