
FRED W. KROUSE
Mr. Fred W. Krouse, 54, of 111 Bittersweet, Payson, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday (February 4, 2005) in his home.
Born May 3, 1950 in Springfield, Illinois, Fred was the son of Fred and Betty Wright Krouse. He married Sandy Young on October 19, 1968 in Springfield. He later married Beverly Williams on July 8, 1972 in Summer Hill, Illinois. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2001.
Fred was employed by Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. and Fiat-Allis in Springfield before moving to Quincy and later to Payson. He was employed as a machinist at Gardner-Denver Company for 30 years.
Fred was a member of the Gardner Denver Quarter Century Club and the Machinist Local 822 where he served as a committeeman. He took an active role in his community, serving on the Payson Town Board, the New Cemetery Association and as a volunteer for the Payson Fire Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie Krouse of Springfield; a son, Jeff Krouse and his wife Christi of Quincy; three grandchildren, Brooke Krouse and Paige Krouse both of Springfield and Alex Krouse of Quincy; a brother, Roger Krouse and his wife Theresa of Scottsdale, AZ.; three sisters, Deb Smallwood and her husband Jim and Charlotte Griffith both of Paradise Valley, AZ. and Sharon McGee and her husband Rich of Springfield, IL.; his mother in law, Virginia Williams of Rockport, IL.; a brother in law, Gary Williams and his wife Sharon of Pleasant Hill, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Krouse was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Arch Price; a brother, Ron Krouse; and a nephew, Kurt Williams.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by Pastor Ken Worcester. Burial will be in the New Cemetery in Payson..
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 and Tuesday morning until the the time of services at the funeral home in Payson.
Memorials may be made to the Payson New Cemetery Association or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
