GRANT D. LEPPER
Mr. Grant D. Lepper, 88, of 3928 Ghost Hollow Road, died at 8:58 p.m. Sunday (December 18, 2005) in his home.
Born September 18, 1917 in the same home in which he died, Grant was the son of Arthur W. and Fredericka Gidionsen Lepper Sr. He married Doris Fleer on May 7, 1942 in the Salem Church Parsonage in Quincy. She survives.
Grant was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where he had served on the church council and was a member of the Men's Brotherhood. He was also a member of the South Side Commercial Club and the South Side Boat Club. Grant enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fisherman and golfer.
Grant farmed all of his life on the family farm in Melrose Township.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two sons, Larry Lepper and his wife Jan of Indianola, IA. and Kent Lepper and his wife Angela of Quincy; five grandsons, Brian Lepper and his wife Janette and Bradley Lepper both of Indianola, IA. and Tom Lepper and his wife Sara, Terry Lepper and Trent Lepper and his wife Jennifer all of Quincy; three great grandchildren, Jacob Lepper and Justin Lepper both of Indianola, IA. and Jordan Lepper of Quincy; a sister in law, Carlene Nieders of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lepper was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arthur A. Lepper Jr. and his wife Betty; and a nephew, Ronald William Lepper.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenn Leischner. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
