HAROLD "Bob Joye" ZALIS

Mr. Harold "Bob Joye" Zalis, of 2609 Lake Drive South, Quincy, was born August 22, 1933 and died Sunday, December 10, 2006. Bob was of the Methodist Faith.

Following his graduation from college, Bob joined the Army, serving for 6 years. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he made his way to Quincy and became employed by WGEM AM-FM-TV. He had a perfect work record, never missing a day of work in 48 1/2 years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy, three children, Dr. Aaron Zalis and his wife Liz, Dr. Joy Kiefer and her husband Jeff and Douglas Zalis, A.I.A. Architect; and five grandchildren, Jay Zalis, Andrea Zalis, Dylan Kiefer, Lily Kiefer and Sam Kiefer.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Bob. Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Bob will be most fondly remembered as a dedicated and true husband, a caring and loving father, and an energetic and tireless member of the WGEM family.
