HARRY GEORGE HALEY

Mr. Harry George Haley , 78, of Payson, died at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday (December 6, 2005) in his home.

Born August 13, 1927 in Quincy, Harry was the son of Harry C. and Cornelia "Connie" French Haley.

Mr. Haley served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Fly Tying Association. Harry enjoyed fly fishing, computers, cooking and woodworking and loved spending time with his family and his dog, Radar.

A 1945 graduate of Quincy High School, Harry was employed for 30 years as a mechanical engineer in Denver, Colorado. He retired in 1998 and moved back to Quincy.

Surviving is a daughter, Karen Toomey and her husband Mike of Quincy; a son, Steve Haley and his wife Gina of Thornton, CO.; five grandchildren, Lori Salisbury and her husband Dan and Kendra Toomey both of Quincy, Lisa Sparrow and her husband Art of Ozark, MO., Jennifer Haley and Melissa Haley both of Thornton, CO.; and three great grandchildren, Austin, Clayton and Jay.

Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his parents; and a son in infancy, William Haley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy by the Rev. George Tomko. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the funeral home in Quincy.
