HELEN E. MEYER

Mrs. Helen E. Meyer, 90, of the St. Vincent's Home, formerly of Payson, died at 5:15 p.m. Friday (December 24, 2004) in the home.

Born April 6, 1914 in Ralls County, Missouri near Hannibal, Helen was the daughter of Charles B. and Ida Harrison Minnick. She married Floyd W. Meyer on August 25, 1932 in Pittsfield, Illinois. He died on June 20, 2004.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of the Liberty Christian Church. Helen loved to cook and she and her husband were avid campers.

Helen was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and also worked as a cook for 24 years at Seymour High School in Payson.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Meyer and his wife Janet of Payson; two daughters, Betty Jenkins and her husband Harold Kay of Liberty and Virginia Brown and her husband Ray of Albuquerque, N. M.; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Minnick of Liberty and Charles Minnick and his wife Imogene of Prescott, AZ.; a sister, Eva Walker of Hannibal, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd; two infant sons, Lloyd Meyer and Floyd Meyer Jr.; a great grandson, Lane Jenkins; a brother, Harold Minnick; a sister, Almeda Minnick; a brother in law, Harold Walker; and a sister in law, Marguerite Minnick.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by the Rev. Terry Henry, Rev. Ron Cox and Mr. Bob Carnes. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Hannibal, Missouri.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home in Payson.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Christian Church or the Payson United Methodist Church.
