HERSCHEL DANIELS

Mr. Herschel Daniels, 78, of 101 North 4th, died at 3:56 p.m. Thursday (January 24, 2008) in Blessing Hospital.

Born June 30, 1929 in Quincy, Herschel was the son of Roy L. and Viola Still Daniels. He married Patricia A. Higgins on October 29, 1960 in Payson, Illinois. She survives.

Herschel was a member of Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed reading, watching TV and tinkering in his workshop.

Mr. Daniels was employed at Deters Dairy for many years until his retirement in 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Pat; a daughter, Leanne Buduhn and her husband Keith of Wyoming, MI; three grandchildren Johanna Buduhn, Jessica Buduhn, and Jonathan Buduhn all of Wyoming, MI; two brothers, Billy Daniels and his wife Louise of Taylor, MO. and Russell Daniels and his wife Judy of Quincy; two sister in-laws Sharon Higgins of Quincy, Jeannie Kammerer and her husband Kenneth of Quincy, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph Evers. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church or to the Blessing Cancer Center.
