Mrs. Imogene C. Schnellbecher, 88, of Liberty, died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday (October 8, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.
Born November 7, 1916 in Ely, Missouri, Imogene was the daughter of Clarence A. and Mabel Weatherford Brown. She married Ralph Schnellbecher on April 22, 1950 in Quincy. He died in 1976.
Imogene was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking and sewing. She was employed as a cook at Chaddock for over 25 years until her retirement in 1988.
Surviving is her daughter, Jan Duppong and her husband Owen of Quincy; her son, Jon Robinson and his wife Kim of Decatur, IL.; three grandchildren, Ryan Robinson and his wife Martha of Anderson, SC., Rachael Keith and her husband Pete of Dodgeville, WI. and Anne Robinson of Decatur, IL.; and four great grandchildren, Henry and Charlie Keith, both of Dodgeville, WI. and Summer and Simon Robinson, both of Anderson, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia Stucker.
Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:00 in Quincy Memorial Park by Rev. Joby Bown.
There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.
