IRMA M. ZANGER

Mrs. Irma M. Zanger, 85, of 1114 Locust, died at 2:27 a.m. Sunday (December 25, 2005) in Sycamore Health Care Center.

Born May 13, 1920 in Quincy, Irma was the daughter of Henry and Josephine Voshake Windoffer. She married Richard Zanger in July, 1941 in Quincy. He preceded her in death 1983.

Irma was employed at Motorola until their closing.

Survivors include two sons, Jerald Zanger of Plainville and Ray Zanger and his wife Debbie of Des Plaines, IL.; nine grandchildren, Daniel Zanger of Plainville, IL., Jeffery Zanger and his wife Edna of Camp Point, IL., Michaela Zanger, Joshua Zanger, Rosa Zanger, Emily Zanger and Anthony Zanger all of Des Plaines, IL., and Lois Kipley and her husband Daniel and Mark Zanger and his wife Lori all of Quincy; several great grandchildren; a sister, Florence Mooney of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Zanger was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Larry Zanger; and two brothers, Paul Windoffer and Ed Windoffer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Dominic Catholic Church by the Rev. Tom Hagstrom. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home. A Christian Wake Service will be held Tuesday evening at 5:00 in the funeral home.
