JANET M. GIANFRIDDO

Mrs. Janet Marie Gianfriddo, 70, of Quincy, died at 3:00 a.m. Thursday (January 7, 2010) in her home.

Born May 21, 1939 in Quincy, Janet was the daughter of Ollie and Marie Wessler. She married Dr. Frank I. Gianfriddo in Quincy. He survives.

A graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and Gem City Business College, Janet was the office manager at Site Vision Center for many years.

Janet was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Soroity.

Survivors include her husband, Frank and his three children and grandchildren; a sister, Pat Stewart and her husband Howard of Galesburg, IL; and many loving friends including Mary Lou Alderton, Amy Enroth and her husband Chris and Cynthia Fischer; and a niece, Dr. Michele Gianfriddo.

Mrs. Gianfriddo was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Francis Catholic Church by the Rev. J.J. Lakers and Rev. John Carberry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Quincy.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home. A Parish Prayer Service will be Monday evening at 6:00 at the funeral home by Rev. Tom Shaughnessy.
