F. JEANNEN COOKSON

Mrs. F. Jeannen Cookson, 69, of 1210 N. 3rd, died at 4:43 p.m. Sunday (November 26, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born October 16, 1937 in Quincy, Jeannen was the daughter of Virgil and Frances Tucker Guthrie. She married Robert L. "Bobby" Cookson on October 21, 2005 in Quincy. He survives.

Jeannen loved animals, especially her dog Matty. She was employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant at the Illinois Veterans Home for 25 years retiring in 1998.

Also surviving is her son, Lloyd A. Johnson Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Quincy; a granddaughter, Jennifer Baile and her husband Chris of Pacific, MO.; two great granddaughters, Lauren Boedefeld and Shelby Baile, both of Pacific, MO. and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in infancy and three brothers, Jerry, Jody and Jim Guthrie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Larry Troxel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
