JENNIFER L. PURTLE

Jennifer L. Purtle, 32, of Quincy, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (August 21, 2007) in her home.

Born October 12, 1974 in Ottawa, Illinois, Jennifer was born the daughter of Robert Burns and Patricia Chapman. She married John H. "Spider" Purtle on March 3, 2007 at The Rock Church in Quincy. He survives.

Jennifer loved reading, her pets, and collecting porcelain dolls and Scooby Doo stuffed animals.

Also surviving is her adoptive mother, Karen Anderson of Bloomington, IL; her step father, James Logsdon of Quincy; her sister, Mary Gibson and her fiance Joey Lay of Quincy; two brothers, Michael Chapman of Yorkville, IL. and Matthew Lodrey of Ottawa, IL.; three children, Summer, Jonathan and Shawn; two nephews, Brenden Gibson of Ottawa, IL. and Jared Plique of Port Orcaird, WA.; her grandmother, Mary Belle Malley of Beecher, IL.; her grandfather, Dale Manning of Alton, MO.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Mary E. Chandler.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Tony Bliss.

Memorials may be made to the Jennifer L. Purtle Memorial Fund.
