JESSIE ARNETT

Mrs. Jessie Arnett, 92, of the Good Samaritan Home, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday (December 24, 2007) in the home.

Born December 29, 1914 in Quincy, Jessie was the daughter of Charles and Grace Fielding Hipkins. She married Howard L. Arnett on January 14, 1934 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1987.

Jessie attended The Crossing where she was a member of the Berians Sunday School Class. She and her husband were avid campers and wintered for many years in Texas. She also enjoyed playing cards and dancing.

Mrs. Arnett was a beauty operator in Cincinati, Ohio for several years until her retirement in 1976.

Survivors include a daughter, Susanne "Sue" Lubbert and her husband William of Quincy; a son, Daniel Arnett and his wife Louise of Covington, KY.; six grandchildren, Matthew Arnett and his wife Elaine of Milford, OH., Michael Arnett and his wife Rebecca of Hebron, KY., John Arnett and his wife Katherine of Villa Hills, KY., Steven Lubbert and his wife Cynthia of Strafford, MO., Jeffery Lubbert and his wife Jeri of Quincy and Timothy Lubbert and his wife Mitzi of Quincy; ten great grandchildren, James Lubbert of McKinney, TX., Emily Lubbert of Frisco, TX., Jennifer Lubbert, Jason Lubbert, Nicole Lubbert and Amber Lubbert all of Quincy, Allison Arnett of Villa Hills, KY., Jacob Arnett of Hebron, KY. and Logan Arnett and Monica Arnett both of Milford, OH.; one great great grandchild, Jaylen Lubbert of Quincy; one sister, Betty Ulics of Texas; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Arnett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Louis Hipkins and Joseph Hipkins in infancy and Charles Hipkins and Leonard Hipkins; and a sister, Nettie Kramer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Chaplin Steve Dissler. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. .

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Saturday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
