JOSEPH FAYTA
Mr. Joseph Fayta, 93, of the Illinois Veterans Home, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday (September 22, 2006) at the Veterans Home.
Born July 12, 1913 in Chicago, Mr. Fayta was the son of George and Anna Fayta.
Mr. Fayta served his country as a Sergeant in the U. S. Army during WW II, working as a photolithographer. He saw action in Normandy, Northern France, the Ardennes, the Rhineland and in central Europe, receiving the Bronze Star Medal.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning (October 2, 2006) at 10:00 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veterans Home. Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the All Faiths Chapel.
