JOE MELVIN DOYLE

Mr. Joe Melvin Doyle, 76, of Plainville, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday (June 28, 2007) in his home.

Born February 24, 1931 in Bourbon County, Kentucky, Joe was the son of Neville and Ada Frances Shumate Doyle. He married Ann "Missy" McGurk on December 20, 1962. She survives.

Mr. Doyle was a member of St. John Anglican Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was an avid NASCAR fan, hunter and University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan.

A graduate of Lafayette Technical School, Mr. Doyle was employed as a tool and die maker for McDonnell Douglas and later for Boeing until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Missy; two daughters, Joyce Ann Foster and her husband Chuck of Eastonville, GA. and Margery Jane Doyle of New Jersey; four sons, Bruce Price Doyle and his wife Mary of Paris, KY, Patrick Brock Doyle and Joseph Brian Doyle both at home and Kevin Manard of Plainville, IL.; five grandchildren, Tiffanie Doyle, Breanna Doyle, Marvin Foster, Heath Foster and Russell Foster; three great grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Joyce Keely and her husband Richard of St. Leonard, MD.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Teddy Lee Doyle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 in St. John Anglican Church by the Fr. Stephen Strawn. Burial will be Tuesday in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Paris, KY.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.
