Mr. John R. Scobee, 72, of the Illinois Veteran Home, formerly of 1326 Chestnut, died at 8:00 p.m. Sunday (June 5, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.

Cremation rites were accorded to Mr. Scobee. Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home.

There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
