JON T. HAMILTON

Mr. Jon T. Hamilton, 64, of 412 W. Edwards St., Payson, died at 8:43 p.m. Monday (June 5, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 27, 1941 in Augusta, Jon was the son of Ward and Emma Allen Hamilton. He married Janice Osterman in Golden on June 20, 1970. She survives.

Jon was a 1959 graduate of Augusta High School and a member of Payson United Methodist Church. He liked playing cards and croquet, and especially enjoyed and cherished the time he spent with his grandson. He was a licensed water operator for the village of Augusta and then later in Quincy until his retirement in 1982.

Also surviving is one daughter, Mavis Lantz and her husband William of Liberty; a grandson Zachary Lantz of Liberty; a brother Kay L. Hamilton and his wife Jody of El Centro, CA; a sister Roberta Bird of Salt Lake City, UT; and several nieces and nephews.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents and one niece Mary Jane Daniels.

Cremation Rites were accorded to Mr. Hamilton. Memorial services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Payson United Methodist Church. Private family inurnment will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center or to the Payson United Methodist Church.
