
JULIUS JUNIOR "JJ" HAMANN
Mr. Julius Junior "JJ" Hamann , 81, of 312 Spruce, died at 12:28 p.m. Saturday (January 28, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.
Born August 11, 1924 in Quincy, Julius was the son of Julius and Sadie Haroz Hamann Sr. He married Delores I. Moore on March 8, 1946 in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Hamann was a member of Madison Park Christian Church, North Side Boat Club and Twin Oaks. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing and gardening. Julius was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle who enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
He was employed as a machinist at Gardner-Denver for 35 years until his retirement.
Also surviving are two daughters, Debra Griffin and her husband Ed of Quincy and Linda Vaughn and her husband Anthony of Henderson, NV.; two sons, Steven Hamann of St. Louis, MO. and Rodney Hamann and his wife Jo of Quincy; nine grandchildren, Bryan Hamann and his wife Jana, Chris Hamann, Scott Hamann and his wife Marcy, Jeremy Hamann, Becky Hamann, Matthew Hamann, Shane Wingerter and his wife Jennifer, Brittany Wingerter and Kayla Wingerter; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Hamann and his wife Mary and Lester Hamann and his wife Jean, both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Florence Hoffman Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Willard. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
