Mrs. Kathleen J. Lewellen, 89, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 3828 State, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday (July 10, 2007) in the home.

Born May 26, 1918 in Kathleen was the daughter of Carson and Eula Babb. She married Thomas A. Lewellen on February 10, 1940 in Hannibal, Missouri. He died May 30, 1992.

Mrs. Lewellen was a member of the Union United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Karen Scott and her husband Retired Colonel Robert Scott of Redding, CA.; two sons, Dwight Lewellen and his wife Sharon of Aurora, CO. and Dwayne Lewellen and his wife Charlotte of Palmdale, CA.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Dwight and Dwayne Lewellen.

There is no visitation but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
