KEITH ROBERTSON
Mr. Keith Robertson, 82, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of 1107 Klondike Road, died at 9:28 p.m. Tuesday (March 7, 2006) at the Veterans Home.
Born February 7, 1924 in Quincy, Keith was the son of James and Clara Shriver Robertson. He married Marjorie McFarland on October 3, 1948 in Columbus, Illinois. She survives.
Keith was an active member of Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church where he had served as an Elder, Trustee and Superintendent of Sunday Schools. He was honored for his work with the C.R.O.P. Program. Keith also served as a Trustee with the Regional Office of Education for 23 years and was a Board Member for the Adams County Farm Bureau.
Keith farmed in Melrose Township for many years. Following his retirement from farming, he became a Quincy Herald Whig carrier.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; a son, Timothy Robertson and his wife Richlyn of Quincy; a daughter, Sue Ellen Moore and her husband Randy of Chippewa Falls, WI.; three grandchildren, Ryan Robertson, Tyler Robertson and Reagan Robertson all of Quincy; three brothers, Lee Robertson and his wife Lydia of Elgin, IL., Don Robertson and his wife Lori and Kenneth Robertson and his wife Barbara both of Quincy; a half sister, Bonnie Davis and her husband Daryl of Loveland, CO.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents; and his step father, Elmer Neuer.
Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Ellington Memorial Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Joe Evers. Private burial services will be in Ellington Home Cemetey.
There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
