LESLIE T. PHILLIPS
Mr. Leslie T. Phillips, 96, of Sycamore Healthcare Centre, died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday (September 21, 2006) in the home.
Born July 29, 1910 in Waynesville, MO., Leslie was the son of Robert and Bertha Walton Phillips. He married Helen B. Toupnot on September 7, 1932 in Waynesville, MO. She died October 5, 1989.
Mr. Phillips was a member of Central Baptist Church. He worked construction for various companies for many years. Following his construction work, Leslie was employed by the Quincy Park District for many years until his retirement.
Surviving is his daughter, Patsy. R. Dean and her husband Patrick of Quincy; two grandchidren, Stephanie Brueggeman and her husband Robert and Sherry Winczewski and her husband Donald; four great grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Christopher Brueggeman, Michelle Brueggeman, Trevor Winczewski and Samatha Winczewski; four great great grandchildren, Levi O'Brien, April Brueggeman, Nathanael Brueggeman and Christopher Gorman; and three sisters, Maxine Williamson, Marybell Race and Lila Rice.
He was preceded in death by his parents; her wife; two sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Quincy Memorial Park by Brother Kenneth Worcester.
Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:45 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
