LOLA MAE ALBERTY

Mrs. Lola Mae Alberty, 90, of 130 Locust, died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday (June 22, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born March 28, 1916 in Marion County, Missouri, Lola was the daughter of Charles R. and Anna Lee LaFoe Crist. She married Herschel Alberty in 1932. He died May 27, 1975.

Lola was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and a life member of the North Side Boat Club and South Side Boat Club. She loved to play Bingo, cards and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include her sister, Thelma Woods of Quincy; her longtime companion, Donald Murfin of Quincy; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Alberty was preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy, Robert Douglas Alberty; and a sister, Erma Baker.

Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy by the Rev. George Tomko.

Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 until 9:45 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
