LOUISE W. KAISER

Mrs. Louise W. Kaiser, 96, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of the Payson and Quincy area, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday (January 14, 2010) at Good Samaritan Home.

Born March 12, 1913 in Payson, Illinois, Louise was the daughter of Arthur Harlan and Mary Edna Thompson Wharton. She married Harold Russell Kaiser on August 14, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1961.

Louise was a member of the Payson Congregational United Church of Christ where she was active with the ladies groups of the church.

A graduate of Knox College where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Soroity, Mrs. Kaiser taught elementary school in Quincy and Payson for many years, retiring from the Payson Elementary School in 1973. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Chapter F.H.

Survivors include a son, John Kaiser and his wife Elaine of Medford, N. J.; a daughter, Mary Ann Allen of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kaiser was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a twin sister, Kathryn Lucille Wharton; and a brother, Roger Wharton.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Rick Welch. Burial will be in the Bluff Hall Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
