JOAN RISCH

Mrs. Mary Joan Risch, 69, of 7229 Bardon Dr., died 6:36 p.m. Thursday (June 2, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.

Born March 6, 1936 in Quincy, Joan was the daughter of John and Mary "Mamie" Wollbeck Kerker. She married George C. Risch on November 16, 1963 in Quincy. He died February 20, 1991.

Joan enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening and loved cooking for her family, especially her granddaughter Heather.

She was employed in the receiving department at Walmart for several years until her retirement.

Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Yates and her husband Tim of Fowler and Kelly Balzer and her husband Jim of Payson; a granddaughter, Heather Balzer of Payson; a sister, Bertha Robbins of Virginia, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Risch; a son, Russell G. Risch; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Tom Waters. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Monday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
