MARGARET DENNISON JOHNSON CHILDERS

Mrs. Margaret Childers, 86, of Good Samaritan Home, died at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday (April 18, 2007) in the home.

Born August 22, 1920 in Hull, Illinois, Margaret was the daughter of Olpheus A. and Albertine Haugen Dennison. She first married Sam Johnson. She then married Ernest Childers.

Surviving are two sons, Sammie D. Johnson and his wife Carol of Decatur and Leo Dennis Johnson and his wife Phyllis of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Debra Vasquez, Melinda Gibson, Trisha Johnson, Aron Johnson, Shelly Sieveking, Shannon Dunn, Heather Lee Johnson-Baseler and Bryan D. Johnson; ten great grandchildren; and a half sister, Irene Bowles of Keokuk, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter, Patricia Crenshaw; four brothers, Gordon Evensen, Everett Dennison, Leo Dennison and Orville Dennison.

Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Childers. There are no services planned at this time.
