MARILYN HAGERBAUMER

Mrs. Marilyn Hagerbaumer, 79, of the Good Samaritan Home Cottages, formerly of 1531 Ohio, died at 9:35 a.m. Monday (March 5, 2007) in Blessing Hospital.

Born December 21, 1927 in Quincy, Marilyn was the daughter of Lawrence F. "Pop" and Phoebe Birch Kill. She married Melvin Hagerbaumer on June 22, 1947 in Salem Church. He died April 7, 1999.

Marilyn was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Salem Couples Club, Undershepherd Committee, Past President of the Afternoon Guild and active for many years as the youth group leader. Marilyn and Melvin received the Minister of the Month award at Salem in December 1998. She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Home Auxilary and was active with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and PTA and served as Head of the DeMolay Mothers. Marilyn was an avid Quincy Blue Devil Fan and in more recent years loved to follow the activities of her grandchildren.

Marilyn was employed as a dietician for the Community Counseling Center until her retirement in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Jayne Ann Brown and her husband David of Quincy; a son, David Burr Hagerbaumer and his wife Eileen of Binghamton, New York; six grandchildren, Travis Brown and his wife Jennifer of Napoleon, OH., Rome Brown of New York, NY. and Garris Brown of Quincy, Matthew Hagerbaumer, Nicholas Hagerbaumer and Chelsea Hagerbaumer all of Binghamton, N.Y.; two great grandchildren, Cassidy Ann Brown and Andrew David Brown both of Napoleon, OH.; a brother in law, Donald Baker of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hagerbaumer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; twin grandchildren, Ronald Jordan Brown and Ann Marie Brown; a sister, Marjorie Baker; and a brother, Lawrence "Larry" Kill.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Disseler. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
