MAJORIE F. EVANS

Marjorie F. Evans, 90, of Sunset Home, died at 4:12 a.m. Thursday (January 10, 2008) in the home.

Born May 15, 1917 in Ursa Township, Marjorie was the daughter of George and Cora Grimes Colvin. She married Frank H. Evans on October 6, 1940 in Grinnell, IA. He died in 1958.

Marjorie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was active in the quilting and sewing group and the Homemakers class at church. She was a longtime season ticket holder and avid Quincy Blue Devil Basketball fan. She also enjoyed bowling in the Gardner-Denver Women's bowling league and listening to country music.

She was a secretary in the Tool Design Department at Gardner-Denver for many years until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, Robert Evans and his wife Linda of Lusby, MD; two sisters, Lois Marie Braun of Scottsdale, AZ and Pauline Dudley of Ursa, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Kenneth Colvin.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Livengood. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of the services.
