
MARJORIE G. HOLM
Mrs. Marjorie G. Holm, 80, of 2402 Sterling Ave., died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday (February 16, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.
Born June 21, 1925 in Quincy, Marjorie was the daughter of Henry D. and Gwendoline Wood Fuhrman. She married William E. Ennis on February 4, 1952 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He died August 31, 1964. She married Gilbert "Moon" Holm on June 30, 1967 in New Braunfels, Texas. He died August 2, 1992.
Marjorie was a member of the First Union Congregational Church. She enjoyed playing regular and duplicate Bridge.
A 1943 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1946 graduate of MacMurray College, Marjorie was an Executive Secretary for 3 years at Harris Trust & Savings Bank in Chicago. She later was employed in the Installment Loan Department at Broadway Bank, now First Banker's Trust for 2 years.
Surviving are three step daughters, Jeannette Cook of Quincy, June Merker & her husband Bill of Liberty and Ruth Timpe of Vienna, VA.; two step sons, Gilbert "Buddy" Holm and his wife Velma of Seguin, TX. and Howard Holm of Quincy; 11 grandchildren, Vicki Franklin of Quincy, Leslie Doane and her husband Robert of Quincy, Bruce Merker and friend Diane LeFevre of Quincy, Cindy Cook of Quincy, Dave Timpe and his wife Olga of Fairfax, VA., Karen Rose and her husband Ron of Denver, CO., Steve Holm and his wife Susan of New Braunfels, TX., Christopher Holm and his wife Patti of Huntsville, TX., Greg Cook and his wife Michelle of Ocala, FL., Kevin Cook and his wife Fabiola of Lima, Peru and Dan Timpe and his wife Catriona of Ashburn, VA.; three nephews, LeRoy Holm and his wife Cindy of Philadelphia, MO. and Dick Holm and his wife Pat of Pittsburgh, PA and Ken Holm and his wife Barbara of Quincy; 2 great nephews, John R. Ennis of Hanover Park, IL and Bill Ennis of St. George, UT.; and one great niece Roxanne Ennis of Quincy.
Mrs. Holm was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and one grandson, Kent Mercker.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Wentzel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
