
MARJORIE C. "SHORTY" TUCKER
Mrs. Marjorie Clara Tucker, 92, of 101 North 4th, Quincy, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday (February 1, 2008) in St. Vincent's Home.
Born January 2, 1916 in Kellerville, Illinois, Marjorie was the daughter of Rollie and Ada Mayfield Kerley. She married Ralph "Doc" Niggemeyer on September 24, 1940 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He died August 12, 1963. She married Sam Tucker in 1974. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Marjorie was a member of Faith Christian Church and was an avid reader and Bingo player. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and enjoyed all their activities including being a member of the Moose Academy of Friendship.
Marjorie was employed at Motorola for 15 years retiring in 1974.
Survivors include a son Gene Niggemeyer and his wife Jan of Peoria; a daughter Ronda Wand and her husband Richard "Dick" of Quincy; three grandchildren, Richard Allen Wand and his wife KC of Marysville, WA, Cheryl Christine Roettger and her husband Tom of Centennial, CO and Jefferey Niggemeyer of Springfield; six great grandchildren, Kaley C. Roettger of Centennial, CO, Alexa J. Roettger of Centennial, CO, Tristan A. Wand of Marysville, WA, Morgan Wand of Centennial, CO, Austin T. Niggemeyer and Nikki Niggemeyer both of Springfield, three sisters; Mildred Wheelock of Quincy, Helen Mayfield of Dixon, IL and Rolene Bailey of Plymouth; a sister in law Margie Thompson of Florida; five step children, Audrey Seyb of Donaldson, IA, Janet Dale of Missouri, Norma Heneck of Florida and Phillip Tucker of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Ken Worcester and Pastor Henry Pratt. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park
Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
