MARLENE L. HUSTED

Mrs. Marlene L. Husted, 71, of 901 South 36th, Quincy, died at 6:28 p.m. Monday (January 25, 2010) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 14, 1938 in Quincy, Marlene was the daughter of Ed and Viola Mais Clow. She married Charles W. Husted on October 11, 1975 in Quincy. He survives.

Marlene was a member of the W. C. U. and Central Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess and was active with the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class. Marlene enjoyed watching cooking shows on T.V. and socializing with her friends, but her greatest joy came in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her cat, Abbey.

Marlene was employed at Motorola for 16 years until their closing. She later owned and operated a Daycare Center out of her home for 25 years until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; a daughter, Elizabeth Arrowsmith and her husband Scott of Loraine, IL; three grandchildren, Caitlin Arrowsmith, Baylee Arrowsmith and Parker Arrowsmith all of Loraine, IL; a sister in law, Virginia Clow of Quincy; a brother in law, Clarence Husted of Lebanon, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Husted was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronald Clow; and a sister in law, Denise Husted.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:30 in Central Baptist Church by Pastor Ivan Greuter. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Friday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at Central Baptist Church.
