MARTHA VIOLA OREBAUGH

Mrs. Martha V. Orebaugh, 89, of Sunset Home, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday (September 5, 2006) in the home.

Born August 27, 1917 in Richfield, IL., Martha was the daughter of Frank and Elnora Whitney Blivens. She married James Lester Orebaugh on May 27, 1932 in Palmyra, MO. He died in December of 1982.

Martha loved dancing, working with people and had a servants heart. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.

Mrs. Orebaugh was employed at Blessing Hospital in the food and nutrition department. She later worked as a health aid taking care of elderly women in their homes.

Surviving are two daughters, Vera Weems and Pearl Brown and her husband Charles, all of Quincy; a son, Gail Orebaugh and his wife Lucy of Quincy; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Lola Shanks of Tennessee, Thelma Waters and her husband Herb and Velma Pfaffe, all of Quincy; a brother, John "Barney" Whitney and his wife Hermaline of Hannibal, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Quincy Memorial Park by Rev. Tom Henderson.

There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
