
MARY COOPER
Mary Cooper, 82, of 401 Spruce St. Quincy died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday (March 1, 2008) in the Sycamore Health Care Center in Quincy.
Born September 7, 1925 in Pittsfield, IL, Mary was the daughter of Clarence and Vesta Brown Hillman. She was married March 28, 1964 in Quincy to Arthur R. Cooper. He died June 17, 1997.
Mary enjoyed quilting, growing flowers, and playing bingo. She was employed at Davis-Cleaver Produce for over 25 years until her retirement.
Surviving is a brother Walter R. Hillman of Quincy, two sisters in-law Catherine Hankins and Jim of Barry; and Pansy Brewer of Ozark, MO. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including Shirley Medley of Quincy; Mary Griffith of San Benito, TX; and Helen Bennett of NewPort, TN.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers John, Lloyd, Carl, and Aldred Hillman; and one sister Virginia Bennett.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery.
Vistitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4-7 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
