MARY L. KUCH

     Mrs. Mary L. Kuch, 77, of the Illinois Veterans Home, formerly of Springfield, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday (May 17, 2006) in the Veterans Home.

     Born February 19, 1929 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of Roscoe H. and Sophia Adams King. She married Francis C. Elliott on June 22, 1976. He died June 2, 1989. She then married Donald H. Kuch on May 28, 1994 in Quincy. He died September 12, 2005.

     Mrs. Kuch was a member of the Quincy American Legion Post #37 and the AM Vets. She served her country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a nurse.

     Mary was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois for several years until her retirement.

     Surviving is her brother, John R. King and his wife Betty of Commerce, TX.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two daughters in infancy; and a sister.

     Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veterans Home by Rev. Richard Jeske. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veterans Home.

     Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
