MARY M. McMULLEN
Mrs. Mary Margaret McMullen, 78, of Taylor, Missouri, was called home by the Lord at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (August 6, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.
Born September 26, 1926 in Galesburg, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of C. S. and Ethel Terry Robinson. She married William Franklin "Frank" McMullen on October 27, 1945 in Shelbina, Missouri. He survives.
Mary was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed sewing and traveling. For the past 15 years, Mary and Frank spent the winter months in Harligen, Texas. Mary devoted her life to her family but loved helping others by volunteering at the Knoxville, IL. Presbyterian Church, Valley Baptist Hospital in Harligen, TX and until this year at Blessing Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; five daughters, Sandra Kroeger and her husband Edwin of Ewing, MO., Julie Goehl and her husband Larry and Jeanette Mock and her husband Ronald both of Quincy, Jean Clow and her husband Robert of Taylor, MO. and Mary Jo Smith and her husband Homer of Berwick, IL.; 20 grandchildren, Lee Goehl and his wife Patty, Joe Goehl and his wife Shelly, Cari Goehl Mixer and her husband Rusty, Cheryl Goehl Eskew and her husband David, Todd Goehl, Steven Goehl, Rick Voepel and his wife Sharon, Joan Voepel Bischel and her husband John, Jerry Voepel and his wife Kellie, Randy Timbrook, Josh Timbrook and his wife Toni, Jeff Mock and his wife Cammie, Rhonda Mock Warning and her husband Chris, Hans Smith, Mandy Smith Mowen and her husband Corey, Homer Franklin Smith and his wife Jacquie, James Osborne, Laura Clow Sherwood and her husband Paul, Karen Clow Battles and her husband Darren and Michael Clow and his wife Laura; 44 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McMullen was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Delana Denise Timbrook; a great grandson, David Lee Mock; a brother, Donald K. Robinson; and a sister, Dorothy "Dot" Warren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Donald Sherwood. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
