MARY B. VAN BLAIR

Mrs. Mary B. Van Blair, 75, of Quincy, died at 7:17 p.m. Thursday (April 3, 2008) in her home.

Born April 27, 1932 in Quincy, Mary was the daughter of Leo F. and Emma Steffey Clow. She married Kenneth E. Van Blair on April 28, 1972 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2007.

Mary was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her friends, family and husband. She also loved caring for animals, especially her pet cats and dogs and feeding the squirrels in her backyard.

Survivors include a son, Rick Buxman and his wife Kathy of Quincy; two daughters, Judi Walden and her husband Drake and Cindy Wojick both of Quincy; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, David "Pat" Clow and his wife Carolyn of Quincy; three sisters, Elda Setters of Colmesneil, TX, Jane Davis and Billie Altheide both of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Van Blair was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; and three brothers, Jack Clow, Ed Clow and Fritz Clow.

Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon.

There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Quincy Humane Society.
