MARY VERIGAN

Mrs. Mary Verigan, 73, of the Sycamore Health Care Centre, formerly of 1919 Monroe, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday (June 21, 2005) in the home.

Born May 23, 1932 in Quincy, Mary was the daughter of Noel L. and Eleanor M. Mueller Havermale. She married Glenn Verigan on August 31, 1957 in Quincy. He died on October 31, 1966.

Mary was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and enjoyed reading and solving puzzle books.

Mary was employed at Pepsi Cola Bottling Company for many years until her retirement in 1989.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Burgtorf and her husband Robert of Quincy; two grandchildren, Stephanie Lyn Burgtorf and Christopher Glen Burgtorf both of Quincy; and a sister, Barbara Price of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Verigan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers, Joseph, Noel "Pud", Victor, James, Richard and George Havermale; and a sister, Nancy Nicholson.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.and at 10:00 in St. Peter's Catholic Church by the Rev. Roy Bauer.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Boniface Cemetery.
